Decay and precarity in an English seaside town – doing art education in times of uncertainty
Mentorat: Priska Gisler, Andrea Wolfensberger, Nadia Bader
This is an art education project set in a socially and economically deprived neighbourhood of the English seaside town Morecambe. The project combines art education, sociology and ethnography to define challenges and opportunities in the work with young people living in a deprived community. The workshop’s participants were asked to show their favorite places in the community and to document them photographically. Furthermore, they created artworks that were on display in an exhibition curated by the participants.
